Outdoor TV Mounting for Patios and Exterior Walls

An outdoor TV mounting service is not an indoor install with the door open. Kunaque reviews patio and exterior-wall requests in Seattle against sun, rain, temperature, and the wall under the cover before choosing a screen.

The display has to be rated for the weather

A living-room panel under a roof is still an indoor panel. Humidity, cold nights, and a driving rain at the edge of a cover are outside its design. An outdoor-rated television is built for a stated temperature range and for moisture. A partial cover reduces exposure. It does not rewrite the manufacturer’s rating. The estimate starts by asking which display you have, or whether you have not bought one yet. Buying the mount before the display is a common way to own hardware that cannot be used.

Glare is the second filter. A bright patio facing west can wash out a panel that looks perfect at night. Shade, a tilt, and the screen’s brightness rating are part of the conversation. Articulating arms that pull a screen into the breeze also catch wind. A fixed mount tight to a protected wall is often the more serious choice outdoors.

Places this applies

  • Covered patios and porches with a solid wall, not a fabric screen.
  • Outdoor kitchens where the seating faces a column or the house wall.
  • Enclosed lanais that are still damp and unconditioned.
  • A courtyard wall that is masonry. That part of the job follows brick and concrete mounting.

Power, moisture, and the mount

Outdoor receptacles should be the kind the location requires, often with ground-fault protection, and they should already exist where the screen will live. This mounting service does not invent a weatherproof circuit. If a licensed electrician has to add one, that work is identified before the installation is scheduled, and it is not silently included.

Cables outdoors need jackets and connections meant for moisture. An ordinary indoor HDMI lead draped along a brick pier will fail, and it looks unfinished on the first dry day. The cable management approach still applies: a planned route, not a loop. In many patio installs the honest route is a surface raceway rated for the exposure, because the wall should not be trenched open.

The mount itself has to be rated for exterior use if the manufacturer says so, and it has to match the VESA pattern and weight. Stainless or coated hardware is chosen for the location. A mount that rusts into the stucco is not a completed install.

What changes the estimate

Covered versus exposed, the display’s outdoor rating, sun direction, masonry versus framed wall, wind on any articulating arm, the distance to a suitable receptacle, and whether the television has to be stored in winter. This website does not quote an outdoor TV installation price, and it does not promise seasonal removal. Those are scope items. Describe them in the form. General cost factors are on the FAQ.

Sequence

How an outdoor request is reviewed

01

Screen and exposure

Which television, whether it is outdoor-rated, and how much weather actually reaches the wall.

02

Structure and power

What the wall is made of, and whether a proper receptacle is already within reach.

03

Mount and route

Fixed or limited tilt in most cases. Cables in a weather-appropriate path.

04

Confirm, then install

If the display or the wall is wrong, the request ends with that answer. If it is right, scope and price are confirmed before the visit.

What to prepare

  • The television model, or a note that you have not purchased one.
  • Which hours the area is in full sun.
  • The wall material and whether the patio is covered on the top and the sides.
  • The address or ZIP code, so the request can be checked against the Seattle, Washington service area.

Questions

Outdoor mounting questions

Can my indoor TV go under the patio roof?

Only if the manufacturer rates that panel for the temperature and moisture it will actually see. A roof is not the same thing as an outdoor rating. If the answer is no, the estimate says so.

Do you install the electrical outlet?

No. Existing suitable power is part of the site condition. If a new weatherproof circuit is required, that is electrical work identified before scheduling, not a line hidden inside a mounting price.

Will a full-motion mount work outside?

Sometimes, on a protected wall, with a mount and a television that can accept the wind when the arm is out. Many patio installs are better as a fixed mount. The estimate picks one instead of defaulting to an arm.

Is winter storage included?

Not unless it is written into a confirmed scope. This page does not promise a seasonal take-down service.
